The Country Food Trust at Home Fundraising Dinner

Friday 19th November 2021 – 7.30pm

The Country Food Trust is inviting you to host a dinner party in your own home to raise vital funds to feed people in need.

In partnership with Game Fair Christmas – featuring Marco Pierre White’s Best of British Game Restaurant – The Country Food Trust at Home Fundraising Dinner guests will have exclusive access to recipe cards from the chef himself. Focusing on game and seasonal ingredients, the recipes will be easy to follow and ingredients readily available. You are invited to cook along with Marco and raise funds for The Country Food Trust at the same time. By purchasing a ticket for the ‘At Home Fundraising Dinner’ each guest ticket purchased will provide 50 meals to people in need. You and your party will have access to a live and silent auction livestreamed into your own home on the night. A prize will be awarded to the party which raises the most funds (excluding live auction lots).

Visitors to Game Fair Christmas and Marco Pierre White’s Best of British Game Restaurant will have various opportunities to contribute to vital fundraising carried out by The Country Food Trust.

The Country Food Trust is a charity that raises funds to provide meals to feed people in need. Its meals are produced by a specialist food manufacturer. The meals are game based, high in protein, low in fat and are supplied in one of two ways:

• In single, ready to use retort pouches that do not need to be refrigerated and have a one year shelf life.
• In catering packs to those charities who feed a large number of people at any one time.

The Country Food Trust recipes are devised by Consultant Chef Tim Maddams, who works tirelessly for the Charity devising recipes that are both tasty and nutritious and do not contain additives. Currently there are three products available:

• The Country Bolognese – a rich and tasty venison ragu.
• The Country Casserole – a nutritious and warming pheasant casserole
• The Country Curry – a mildly spicy pheasant curry

For a shockingly large number of people in the UK, having enough food is not an everyday reality and having a nutritious meal is a rarity. The Country Food Trust believes that everyone, regardless of his or her economic circumstances, should have access to a balanced and nutritious diet. The meals are given free to those people living in poverty.
